Job summary

Softcat is seeking a Cloud Operations Manager to lead two established teams and shape the strategic direction of our public cloud marketplace offering. You will drive operational excellence, own key partnerships and oversee procurement, licensing alignment and onboarding for customers.

The role requires proven leadership, strong stakeholder management and a track record of delivering large-scale transformation.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels.
• Track record of leading multiple teams and delivering organisational change.
• Experience driving large-scale operational improvements and transformation programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of cloud marketplaces and consumption-based procurement models.
• Commercial awareness with ability to balance growth opportunities and risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop managers and teams to achieve outstanding performance.
• Create an engaging, accountable and inclusive team culture.
• Drive operational excellence through automation, process optimisation and continuous improvement.
• Own and evolve Softcat's cloud marketplace strategy.
• Oversee cloud procurement operations, licensing alignment and customer onboarding.
• Manage operational risk, governance and compliance across cloud services.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Sales, Commercial, Billing, Risk, Legal and Vendor Alliances.
• Build strategic relationships with Microsoft, AWS and Google.
• Deliver commercial insights and performance reporting to senior leadership.
• Lead cross-functional transformation initiatives supporting Softcat's digital strategy.
