Job summary

Softcat plc is building its Asset Intelligence team to help clients optimise cloud spend using FinOps principles. You will act as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers, lead FinOps initiatives, and use leading cloud management tools to drive cost visibility and savings.

The role includes mentoring juniors and shaping long-term cloud cost strategies across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). We offer flexible working patterns, hybrid/remote options, and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

FinOps Practitioner Certification is required.
Extensive experience with multi-cloud cost optimization.
Experience with cloud cost management tooling (CloudHealth, Cloudability, Flexera, and native tools).
Ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders within an enterprise customer.
Mentor and support junior team members and drive continuous learning.

Responsibilities

Form trusted advisor relationships with enterprise-scale clients.
Act as a SME for FinOps within Softcat.
Set long-term goals with customers and lead initiatives to drive FinOps adoption.
Utilise cloud management tooling to leverage FinOps data.
Provide detailed reporting around cost visibility and optimization for stakeholders.
Provide break/fix support around cloud management solutions.
Continuously improve FinOps processes and practices.
Develop and drive the service forward, identifying efficiency opportunities.
Run 1 to 1s with team members.
