Job summary

The DVSA’s Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer in Bristol to maintain and improve core infrastructure services, drive automation, and manage end-user devices. You will work across Platform and Digital Workspace areas, contributing to a modern, secure digital environment that supports road safety and sustainability.

Responsibilities include incident and problem management, deploying and configuring servers and devices, and mentoring Junior Infrastructure

Qualifications

• Maintenance of core infrastructure services through incident and problem management.
• Drive improvements to deliver new and updated core infrastructure services, according to business and user needs to ensure maximum value.
• Drive automation throughout the core infrastructure estate.
• System monitoring and maintenance, monitoring servers, networks, backups and end user devices to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain core infrastructure services via incident & problem management.
• Implement and maintain security controls, monitor for threats, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Deploy and configure servers and end-user devices per standards.
• Provide line management to Junior Infrastructure Engineers.
