Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a cloud infrastructure engineer to build and maintain scalable AWS-based systems using Terraform, with focus on EKS, RDS, and related services. You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines and implement observability to ensure reliability.

This role involves server-side work in Java/Kotlin (Spring Boot) and collaboration across diverse teams to deliver secure, scalable financial technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on Terraform IaC: writing, structuring and maintaining stacks to provision cloud resources.
• Working knowledge of core AWS services (EC2/VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, KMS, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch).
• Familiarity with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes: deploying workloads and supporting clusters.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable, resilient AWS infrastructure using Terraform across services like EKS, RDS, S3, and more.
• Support EKS lifecycle operations, including cluster upgrades and node group updates with minimal production disruption.
• Monitor AWS estate health, perform triage and root-cause analysis, participate in incident management.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) to apply infrastructure changes safely and reliably.
• Instrument the estate for observability using Datadog, CloudWatch and Dynatrace, using telemetry insights to improve hygiene.
• Leverage enterprise AI capabilities to assist design and coding tasks with strong validation and data-security awareness.
• Contribute to server-side development on Spectrum Portfolio Management Fixed Income (Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot).
• Support a culture of diversity, inclusion and respect.
