Job summary

Hastings Direct is seeking a Cloud FinOps Analyst to join the Change and Governance FinOps team. This role focuses on producing cloud usage and cost insights, implementing governance controls and tracking optimisation initiatives.

You will monitor cloud costs, collaborate on saving strategies, track usage, support budgeting, and deliver financial reporting to stakeholders. A strong finance mindset with interest in cloud tech is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong financial analysis with ability to develop and present spend analyses and recommendations.
• Passion for cloud tech and ability to articulate cloud value in technical and financial terms.
• Persistent and tenacious mindset to drive value in challenging business situations.
• Understanding of a cloud platform and its usage/cost dynamics with Azure, Snowflake, Kubecost and KQL as a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Cost Analysis: monitor and analyse cloud infrastructure costs, identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations.
• Cost Optimization: collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and track cost-saving strategies.
• Cloud Usage Tracking: maintain understanding of usage patterns and identify overutilization or waste.
• Budget Management: help develop and manage cloud budgets and report variances.
• Financial Reporting: generate accurate reports related to cloud costs, including cost allocation and chargeback.
