Job summary

Hargreaves Lansdown in Bristol is seeking a FinOps Lead to drive cloud cost discipline and value optimisation. You will bridge finance, technology and product teams to steer cloud investments and ensure cost-efficiency.

Lead planning cycles, analyse cost drivers and partner with engineering to align architecture with cost controls. You will influence senior stakeholders and promote a culture of cost-consciousness across engineering teams.

Qualifications

• FP&A experience with cloud spend.
• Experience managing technology/cloud spend in a complex organisation.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into financial implications.
• Proven collaboration with non-finance, engineering and senior leadership.
• Strong influencing and communication skills.
• Problem-solving with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud financial planning cycles (budget/ forecast/ actuals) with accuracy and transparency.
• Analyse cloud cost drivers and outline opportunities for optimisation.
• Partner with cloud engineering to align architecture and cost constraints.
• Advise leadership on cloud economics and investment trade-offs.
• Strengthen governance frameworks for cloud spend and policy compliance.
• Support vendor negotiations and cost-performance benchmarking.
