Job summary

BAE Systems Digital Intelligence in the UK is seeking a FinOps Specialist to optimise AWS cloud spend for a 300+ person unit. You will collaborate with product architects and engineering to embed cost efficiency from the outset.

This hands-on role requires influencing architectural decisions, developing FinOps strategies, and engaging senior stakeholders to deliver measurable savings while ensuring security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Apply FinOps principles to drive cloud efficiency at scale.
• Deep understanding of AWS pricing and cost management tools.
• Advise on cloud architecture to embed cost efficiency and scalability.
• Develop and market FinOps offerings with clear value propositions.
• Engage senior stakeholders to align cloud cost strategies with business goals.
• Experience with government or regulated environments is a plus.
• Communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
