Job summary

QinetiQ Limited is seeking a Cloud Engineer for our Malvern or Farnborough site. You will design, deploy and automate secure cloud services across public, private or hybrid environments, enabling mission-critical capabilities.

You’ll work with AWS, IaC tools, and CI/CD pipelines to deliver scalable, cost-aware solutions while adhering to security best practices. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or related experience, and 37 hours per week with at least three days on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience designing, deploying and managing cloud solutions in AWS.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure cloud services to meet business and application requirements.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, cost, and security compliance.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Automate deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows to improve efficiency.
• Implement cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption and network security.
• Collaborate with development, operations and security teams for smooth deployments.
