Job summary

Harnham is seeking a senior Data Platform Lead to define and execute the enterprise data strategy for a major financial services client in London. You will shape cloud architecture, build a sustainable platform and drive decision-support capabilities across the organisation.

Lead a cross-functional data engineering team and partner with executives to modernise legacy environments, implement governance and comply with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Data Engineering teams and senior technical professionals.
• Proven track record delivering cloud migration and large-scale data transformation programmes.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and modern data platform technologies.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the enterprise Data Platform strategy, roadmap and architecture.
• Lead the migration from legacy data environments to a modern cloud platform.
• Build, develop and scale a high-performing Data Platform and Engineering function.
• Drive governance, security and compliance best practices across data assets.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to influence business-wide data strategy.
• Manage third-party vendors and delivery partners to ensure successful execution of programmes.
