Job summary

Harnham - Data & Analytics Recruitment in London (Canary Wharf) seeks a Head of Data Platform to shape data strategy and architecture for a large-scale financial services organisation.

You will lead cloud migration, build a scalable platform, and manage Data Engineering and governance teams while coordinating with senior stakeholders and external delivery partners.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.
• Strong leadership experience managing Data Engineering teams and senior professionals.
• Experience delivering cloud migration and large-scale data transformations.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and modern data platform technologies.
• Understanding of data governance, security and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in regulated industries is beneficial.
• Experience managing outsourced delivery partners is advantageous.

LONDON (CANARY WHARF - HYBRID)

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a major enterprise data transformation for a large-scale financial services organisation. You'll play a pivotal role in defining data strategy, shaping cloud architecture and building a modern platform that supports business-critical decision making across the organisation.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a well-established financial services business undergoing significant investment in its data and technology capabilities. With a strong focus on modernisation, they are building a next-generation cloud data platform and are looking for an experienced leader to drive that journey forward.

THE ROLE

• Define and deliver the enterprise Data Platform strategy, roadmap and architecture
