Job summary

Synapri is recruiting an experienced Cloud Architect to join a major cloud transformation and application modernization programme within a leading financial services organisation. The role is hands-on, covering Azure and GCP, with a focus on modernising legacy applications and driving secure, cloud-native adoption.

The position is hybrid in Central London, inside IR35, initially 6 months, offering a demand-driven rate and the opportunity to shape cloud strategy across core banking platforms.

Qualifications

• Senior Architect with 5+ years in cloud architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and GCP.
• Experience with landing zones, AKS, App Services, Functions, API Management and Networking (Azure).
• Experience with GCP components: GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM/VPC.
• Proven delivery of transformation programmes in banking or regulated FS.
• Understanding of operational resilience and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver Azure & GCP cloud architectures and reference patterns.
• Lead application migration and modernisation across rehost, re-platform, refactor, and cloud-native approaches.
• Drive Terraform, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, Kubernetes and cloud-native adoption.
• Define standards around networking, IAM, security, monitoring, resilience and DR.
• Provide technical leadership and present architecture decisions to senior stakeholders.

I’m currently recruiting for an experiencedCloud Architectto join a major cloud transformation and application modernisation programme within a leadingfinancial services organisation.

This is a hands-on architecture role, working acrossAzure and GCPto modernise legacy applications, support core banking transformation and drive adoption of secure, cloud-native technologies.
