Job summary

J.P. Morgan in London seeks an Associate or VP in Global Credit Trading & Syndicate to support Primary CLO Structuring, Origination and Syndicate as a placement agent for Primary CLO transactions.

You will participate in deal execution from portfolio analysis to documentation and marketing. You will interact with CLO Issuers, senior bankers, syndicate, sales, legal, rating agencies and investors; develop models; size transactions; prepare marketing materials; and monitor P&L with Finance

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in CLOs or structured finance/ABS.
• Proficiency with CLO market software and tools (CDOEdge, Cashflow Evaluator, Intex Dealmaker).
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills with analytical and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interact with CLO Issuers, senior execution team members, Syndicate, Sales, Legal Counsel, Rating Agencies and Investors throughout all deal phases.
• Participate in deal execution including portfolio analysis, capital structure tranching/rating, documentation, negotiation and marketing.
• Develop knowledge of analytic tools and models required to size transactions for rating agencies.
• Associates: model CLO transactions for issuer and investor clients in CLO modelling tools.
• Monitor and prepare materials to update senior bankers and marketers on market developments.
• Create marketing materials for CLO Issuer clients and support investor roadshows.
• Track and monitor the desk’s P&L and coordinate with Finance.
• Prepare materials for internal meetings and approvals; assist in investor requests.
• Monitor warehouse exposure and liaise with Middle Office, Finance, and Technology teams.
