Job summary

Tradebe Environmental Services is hiring a Van Driver in Glasgow. The role involves collecting clinical waste from customer sites, driving a 3.5t+ vehicle, and performing daily paperwork and vehicle checks. The shift runs Monday to Friday, 7am–3pm, with a competitive salary and pension benefits.

You will work with a team, adhere to road laws and hygiene standards, and use a PDA for collections. ADR qualification and waste-handling experience are desirable assets.

Qualifications

• Experience of driving a 3.5tn or larger vehicle.
• Strong communication and customer relation skills.
• ADR qualification is desirable.
• Experience handling clinical and hazardous waste is desirable.
• Familiarity with using handheld devices (PDA).

Responsibilities

• Collect waste from customer sites safely and professionally.
• Complete all required paperwork daily and submit on shift end.
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after each shift.
• Report near misses to the line manager.
• Adhere to Road Traffic Laws, Highway Code and ADR requirements.
• Report vehicle defects to supervisor.
• Work with team members and follow site rules.
• Wear PPE and maintain a clean, presentable uniform.
• Communicate any issues or delays during shifts.
