Job summary

Tradebe Environmental Services in the UK is seeking a Class 1 Driver to join day shifts on a 4 on, 4 off pattern. Start times between 4am and 6am, collecting clinical waste from hospitals and transfer stations.

You will perform vehicle checks, load/unload waste safely, drive in ADR compliance, and communicate delays or safety concerns. A valid CPC and Digital tachograph, and the correct HGV licence, are required.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills.
• Good customer relations.
• Understanding of EU Driver & Working time laws.
• Valid CPC and Digital tachograph cards.
• HGV C+E or C licence (depending on position).

Responsibilities

• Safely collect, load, unload, and segregate customers waste in compliance with company procedures, site rules, and legal requirements.
• Carry out vehicle checks, ensure loads are secure, report defects/issues, and maintain vehicles (cleanliness, refuelling).
• Drive professionally in full compliance with the Highway Code and ADR law.
• Communicate effectively with management and the team about delays, issues, or safety concerns to support operational efficiency.
• Represent the company professionally at all times by being presentable, courteous, and adhering to standards.
