Job summary

Stericycle in Bridgend, United Kingdom, is seeking a hands-on Plant Operator to support the day-to-day receipt, treatment and disposal of clinical waste in line with procedures and legislation. You will unload vehicles, weigh containers, coordinate deliveries, help maintain safe operations, and work with the Shift Supervisor to resolve equipment issues, while committing to health and safety at all times.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload vehicles and trailers.
• Weigh containers and manage waste on site.
• Ensure waste containers are emptied and stored for collection.
• Coordinate paperwork and reception of deliveries (suppliers/contractors).
• Oversee safe handling of waste into containers; operate forklift if required.
• Assist Shift Supervisor and Plant Manager during breakdowns or stoppages.
• Observe safety procedures and participate in training.
