Job summary

Stericycle in Ashford, UK is seeking a hands-on Plant/Processing Operations assistant to support the day-to-day receipt, treatment and disposal of clinical waste. You will work to maximise plant availability and comply with procedures and legal requirements.

Responsibilities include unloading vehicles, weighing containers, preparing empty waste storage, coordinating deliveries, operating forklift if required, and supporting shutdowns.

• Able to work shifts and handle physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Unloading of vehicles and trailers (site specific).
• Weighing and handling of waste containers to ensure proper disposal.
• Coordinate paperwork and reception of deliveries to the plant.
• Oversee safe handling and container preparation for transfer.
• Operate a forklift truck if required and participate in plant shutdowns.
• Maintain operational records and report defects to management.
• Adhere to safety notices and company health and safety procedures.
