Job summary

Stericycle in Bridgend is seeking a Team Leader to oversee plant operations and ensure maximum availability and productivity during your shift.

You will supervise staff, manage waste throughput, ensure compliance with site licences and SOPs, and drive cost efficiency while maintaining quality. The role requires strong organisation, communication, and the ability to work under pressure; formal craft training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal).
• Ability to work without supervision and manage multiple tasks.
• Self-motivated, reliable and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all operatives on the shift to ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Oversee and assist in processing waste within the plant while meeting throughput targets.
• Ensure compliance with site licences and applicable legislation.
• Enforce Standard Operating Procedures and company instructions across shifts.
• Maintain documentation accuracy and effective communications between shifts.
• Plan and implement plant improvements with operational managers.
