Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Vascular Scientist to join the vascular imaging team. You will independently perform and interpret complex vascular ultrasounds, report findings, and contribute to patient care across hospital sites.

Applicants should hold a relevant science degree, HCPC/CSVS registration, and CASE-accredited vascular ultrasound qualifications. NHS experience and the ability to travel between sites are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant Science Degree (BSc or higher).
• CSVS Membership or HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist.
• CASE accredited PgCert, PgDip or MSc in Vascular Ultrasound.
• NHS experience.
• Current visa to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform, interpret and report a range of complex vascular ultrasound examinations.
• Manage own workload effectively.
• Teach clinical skills to other staff and students.
• Maintain effective communication and participate in MDT meetings.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of vascular anatomy and disease to patient care.

Essential criteria

• Relevant Science Degree (BSc or higher)
• Accredited Society of Vascular Technology for GB and Ire (CSVS) Membership or HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist
• CASE accredited (or equivalent) PgCert, PgDip or MSc in Vascular Ultrasound
• NHS Experience
• Current Visa to work in the UK

Experience

• Experience of working as a Clinical Vascular Scientist
• Evidence of a commitment to CPD

Desirable criteria

• Qualification and experience in general ultrasound imaging including abdominal and gynaecology
