Job summary

University of Leeds is seeking a senior manager to run the Pathology Clinical Trials infrastructure within the Division of Pathology and Data Analytics at the Leeds Institute of Medical Research. You will oversee pathology support for national and international trials, coordinating with clinicians and scientists on translational projects at the St James's University Hospital campus.

You will manage budgets, ensure GCP/HTA/MHRA compliance, and chair key meetings, while line-managing technicians

Qualifications

• Experience leading laboratory teams in clinical trials.
• Strong understanding of GCP, HTA and MHRA requirements.
• Proven ability to manage large projects with flexible working patterns.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pathology support for multiple clinical trials and translational projects.
• Liaise with trials units, clinicians and scientists to ensure smooth delivery.
• Ensure material transfer agreements and contracts are in place and up-to-date.
• Lead project audits and research ethics oversight; manage budgets.
• Develop new methods and maintain equipment; supervise staff and students.
• Attend and chair internal and external scientific and GCP/HTA/MHRA meetings.
