Job summary

Discover International, a UK-based CRO, seeks a Clinical Trial Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of Phase I–IV trials for sponsors, coordinating cross-functional teams from start-up to close-out.

You will oversee study budgets, timelines, vendor oversight, and risk management while ensuring compliance with ICH-GCP, MHRA, and sponsor SOPs across oncology, rare disease, or cardiovascular trials.

Qualifications

• Life sciences degree (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years in clinical trial management within CRO/pharma/biotech
• Proven line management/mentoring experience
• Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, UK/EU trial regulations, and risk-based monitoring
• Experience managing study budgets and vendors
• Experience in oncology, rare disease, or cardiovascular trials

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end trial management for assigned studies, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to quality standards
• Line-manage CRAs/CRCs, overseeing site monitoring plans and performance
• Serve as primary point of contact for sponsors, providing status updates and risk escalation
• Develop and manage study budgets, timelines, and vendor/CRO oversight plans
• Ensure inspection readiness and compliance with ICH-GCP, MHRA, and sponsor SOPs
• Lead site selection, feasibility assessments, and study start-up activities
• Chair internal and sponsor study team meetings
