Job summary

Job description
Overview

An exciting opportunity for 2 Band 5 Clinical Technologists to join our Anaesthetics and Theatre Technical Services team delivering Clinical Engineering services to Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, servicing, repair, calibration, safety and acceptance testing on a wide range of medical devices in Clinical Engineering department.
  • Work with high standards of workmanship, safety and accountability within a quality management system and maintain high degree of autonomy.
  • Liaise with clinical and technical staff to identify faults and repair equipment, including working in all clinical areas and with manufacturers.
  • Provide maintenance and repair services to healthcare providers across remote sites; have driving licence.
  • Oversee trainee medical technical staff and provide direction.
Qualifications
  • HNC/HND/Relevant degree or equivalent level of knowledge/experience in electrical/electronic/mechanical engineering.
  • Consideration given to Annex 21 candidates under NHS terms and expected to undertake full training program if not meeting Band 5 criteria.
  • Full time permanent vacancy cannot be filled by Student visa holders; have Graduate visa or Skilled Worker sponsor.
