Join a leading NHS Trust as a Band 5 Clinical Engineer at Whipps Cross Hospital. This role involves maintaining and servicing clinical and dental equipment across various healthcare organizations. To be part of a team of clinical scientists and technicians supporting and maintaining specialist clinical and dental equipment at all sites within The Barts Health NHS Trust on a rotational basis and to various NHS and private healthcare organisations with whom Service Level Agreements or contracts exist.
We are looking for suitable candidates to fill a Band 5 position at Whipps Cross Hospital. If the successful applicant does not fulfill all essential criteria, the position may be offered as a training contract at Band 4, with a salary increase to Band 5 upon reaching all targets.
The postholder will be required to accept a 7-day working week system.
As part of your career development, in-house and formal manufacturers’ training courses will be offered.
Ideally, you will be on the Voluntary Register of Clinical Technologists and qualified to BEng/BSc in Engineering of Physical Science or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
The Postholder will carry out scheduled preventative maintenance, servicing, non-routine repairs, calibration, safety, and acceptance testing on a wide range of medical equipment. The Postholder is required to work to high standards of safety and accountability.
The postholder is required to provide cover for the Equipment Library Service.
The Postholder will liaise with clinical and technical staff to identify faults and repair equipment, including working in clinical areas and with manufacturers, as appropriate.
