Job Overview

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust provides Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in education settings across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland serving the children, young people (CYP), their families and communities.

If you have the passion and drive to lead a team delivering evidence-based interventions for CYP, working across both education settings and communities then this could be the role for you.

We are looking for a Clinical Team Leader who is committed in delivering the highest quality of care, who can demonstrate commitment, innovation, and a positive attitude, with the ability to engage service users, their carers and community leaders to offer a holistic approach. To thrive in this role, you need to be resilient, motivated, and committed to adapt to working in an ever-changing environment.

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate how they plan to carry out the role and their commitment to team working. The successful applicant will have the ability to work under pressure and have a proven track record of delivering KPIs and high performing teams through strong leadership and people skills.

We are seeking a Clinical Team Leader for the following areas; Melton & Rutland, Hinckley and Northwest Leicestershire and Loughborough/Charnwood Teams. You will need to have a full UK driving license and access to a car during working hours.

About the Service

Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland MHST is an early intervention and preventative mental health and emotional wellbeing service. The service delivers evidence-based interventions for CYP with mild to moderate mental health needs.

The service is part of the national MHST Programme, which has been commissioned following the Transforming Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Care Provision: A Green paper (2017).

Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)

In this role you will support the teams to provide a high-quality service to CYP (and their families) experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. This will be done through the supervision of staff and implementation of service improvement, supporting participation and co-production work with CYP and supporting the organisation of the Whole School Approach work. This work will be in accordance with clinical governance processes and professional standards. The Clinical Team Leader will be responsible for the development of the day-to-day management of the teams.

The teams operate Monday-Friday 9am- 5pm, excluding Bank Holidays, with some staff working flexibly.

The Clinical Team Lead will work with the Service Managers and Clinical Leads and other senior colleagues, ensuring delivery of a high quality, effective and efficient Early Intervention Service. The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of integrated pathways alongside colleagues within MHST and external partners to support a seamless service delivery built around children and young people. The Clinical Team Leader will be responsible for meeting key performance indicators and quality schedules.

As Clinical Team Leader you will also manage your own case load delivering early intervention to young people, including complex cases and mental health assessments.
