In this role you will be approachable and visible, encouraging and use your experience and knowledge to guide your team.

Through effective line management, reflective supervision, and team collaboration, you will drive a culture of relational practice which involves children, young people, and their families.

You will ensure that children, young people, their families, and people who are important to them are valued and are central to all decision making.

You will work closely with the other team managers in the service and support senior managers.

All about You

  • You have current registration with Social Work England.
  • You are a diligent and detail-oriented individual.
  • You are experienced while still being willing to learn new things and maintain your own continuing professional development.
  • You have the willingness and ability to travel between locations.
  • You have an in-depth knowledge of the legal and policy frameworks and guidance that inform and mandate social work practice in Children’s Social Care.
  • You have prior experience managing a team.

Within the Family Safeguarding Service, the teams hold Child in Need, Child Protection, and cases in the Court arena; therefore, the successful applicant should have a clear knowledge of threshold and experience within PLO and the legal framework.
