Overview of role

Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme

Shifts: Monday to Friday (1 day office-based, 4 days on the tools), plus out-of-hours on rota

As VMU Coordinator (Mechanic Supervisor), you will coordinate the daily operations of the vehicle maintenance unit and team, ensuring compliance with all legislative and company standards.

You will lead and develop your team to work safely, meet targets, and improve continuously. You will ensure fleet maintenance, including annual MOT tests, Tachograph calibrations, LOLER inspections, and tool/garage equipment inspections and calibrations, to maximize fleet availability for logistics operations.

Ideally, you will hold an HGV license; however, we are open to training candidates with mechanical and supervisory experience with lighter goods vehicles.
