Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen within East Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership for a Clinical Team Leader to join our Health Visiting Service. This post is offered on a permanent basis.

Hours

36.00 hours per week - Monday to Friday (compressed hours can be considered).

From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.

UK Driving Licence

A Full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

What You Will Do

Working within the management team, you will play a key role in the improvement and strategic development of Health Visiting and School Nursing Services. You will be an organised and motivated professional with excellent communication, problem solving and decision making skills. You will provide effective leadership and support to staff, demonstrating our values of Caring Safe and Respectful. Experience of leading teams through service improvement is desirable alongside a passion for achieving the best outcomes for children, young people and families.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post

• Professional qualification in nursing/midwifery, educated to degree level.
• Post graduate qualification Specialist Community Public Health Nursing: Health Visiting/School Nursing
• Knowledge of key strategies NHS in Scotland, its structures, policies and strategic direction
• Good understanding of the developing health and care agenda, in particular in relation to children's services
• Knowledge of clinical, corporate and staff governance issues and policies, procedures and systems
• The nursing service supports learning and development, providing team members with continual learning and development opportunities in line with changing policy and practice in Early Years.
