A position has arisen in the Urodynamics team at Abbey Park Procedure Unit located in Furness General Hospital.

The post is for 8 hours a week, every Thursday.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team, providing high-quality, compassionate, patient-focused care within the Urodynamics team. The post holder will assist a Urology Specialist Nurse with Urodynamics clinics and work independently on flow clinics when required.

You should possess excellent communication, IT, and customer care skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Role May Include:

1. Assisting Urodynamics clinics with a specialist nurse
2. Carrying out independent flow studies
3. Chaperoning
4. Assisting patients with disabilities and those requiring a hoist
5. Cleaning workspaces and infection prevention
6. Accessing patient information to support clinics

Previous care experience is advantageous but not essential. An NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable.

Our services are based in three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital (FGH), Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH), along with community healthcare facilities including Millom Hospital, Queen Victoria Hospital, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

FGH and RLI offer comprehensive hospital services, including Emergency Departments, Critical Care, and specialized clinics. WGH provides general hospital services, an Urgent Treatment Centre, and outpatient care. We also deliver community services aimed at helping individuals remain independent and manage their health effectively.
