Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board invites applications from HCPC registered podiatrists for specialist community podiatry roles, delivering musculoskeletal care across Parc Prison and linked services in Bridgend.

You will lead clinical caseloads, collaborate with GPs, consultants and nurses, provide training and supervision, contribute to service development, and participate in research and value-based audits to improve patient outcomes.

Applications are invited from HCPC registered Podiatrists with the relevant experience who are looking for the opportunity to pursue a specialist career working in a variety of challenging and rewarding environments in CTM.

The role will be responsible for delivery of a broad spectrum of Podiatry to Parc Prison as part of their Primary Care Provision. The successful candidate will be part of the Community speciality provision joining a team committed to delivering high quality evidence Podiatric Services to the population of Cwm Taf Morgannwg. Applicants require a wide range of post graduate experience to be able to meet the variety of Podiatric presentations that are encountered within a community environment. As part of the Community speciality appropriate specialist post graduate experience and accredited learning would be advantageous. The post will have responsibility for clinical caseloads and provide support to others in the MSK , Acute and Community teams., The post holder's primary role is to be the clinical specialist in the field of musculoskeletal Podiatry. Based in the Princess of Wales they will provide in‑reach Services to Parc Prison in Bridgend. They will deliver a service, which meets the needs of the users from core podiatric provision to specialist care.

Work as an autonomous practitioner managing patients with highly specialised complex needs in a variety of settings particularly the Prison environment.

Work collaboratively with other professions e.g. GP's, consultants, nurses and other AHP's to provide expert, patient centered musculoskeletal care.

Work as part of the Musculoskeletal Podiatry Team and share learning and best practice across peer clinicians.

Provide training, education, supervision and appraisal for staff and students.

Contribute to the development of professional practice and the transformation and evaluation of service delivery.

Support the research and innovation agenda through participating in research and development activity.

Lead aspects of service evaluation with an emphasis on value based care and complex audit within their area.

Work in partnership with service users and staff to achieve improved health outcomes for service users and develop clinical pathways.

Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short‑listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
