• A non-judgemental and compassionate approach.
• Excellent IT skills in MS Word and Outlook; experience of electronic notes systems is ideal.

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced podiatrist to join our Health in Justice (HiJ) Musculoskeletal (MSK) team on a part‑time basis at HMP Bullingdon. This is a category B/C men’s prison near Bicester in Oxfordshire.

The role is 3 sessions per month, totalling 12 hours a month. Salary ranges from £40,000 to £49,000 pro rata, depending on experience.

You will be supported by a Regional Team Lead and Clinical Lead to help you settle in, and you can work the hours flexibly around other commitments.

What you'll be doing

Provide outstanding evidence‑based care, advanced assessment and treatment of patients with complex and/or chronic presentations. You will determine clinical diagnosis and treatment, and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.

Assess and treat a range of conditions including diabetic patients, wound management, MSK pathologies and nail surgery.

Deliver non‑judgemental care, build therapeutic relationships, promote professional boundaries, and actively participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care following our policies and procedures.

Inspire excellence by proactively managing foot, ankle and lower‑extremity conditions and motivating the wider team to identify high‑risk patients. Forge strong working relationships with the Practice Plus Group healthcare team and the wider Health in Justice Service.

Be responsible for your own caseload and waiting list and work as an autonomous practitioner.
