An established industry player in motorsport is seeking an experienced physiotherapist to deliver high-quality MSK rehabilitation services. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary team, providing expert advice and treatment for complex musculoskeletal injuries. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Head of Human Performance and Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (APP) to deliver physiotherapy services, including the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries, to an exceptional standard.
Responsibilities include triaging, assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients referred to the McLaren Performance Hub (MPH) Health Centre, and organizing referrals when necessary. The role acts as a clinical expert in MSK issues, providing advisory services to employees, MPH staff, healthcare professionals, and GPs within the MPH practice.
The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team comprising GPs, Exercise Rehabilitation Instructors (ERI), Strength and Conditioning Coaches, and Medical Administrators, responsible for physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to MTC employees.
Additional duties include delivering corporate wellness education and advice to McLaren Racing employees. Flexibility in working hours is required to support all MTC employees, including occasional unsocial hours or weekends.
The role requires collaboration with the Lead Physiotherapist to implement physiotherapy and rehabilitation services at McLaren Technology Centre (MTC).
The main components of the role are:
Delivery of MSK physiotherapy services at MTC
Delivery of focused rehabilitation classes
Delivery of corporate wellness strategy and service improvement initiatives
Delivery of IST and service development projects
Essential:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a clinical specialist physiotherapist in high-performance environments such as the Military or NHS, preferably as an APP.
Post-registration MSc in an MSK physiotherapy discipline or equivalent, with relevant training and qualifications.
Proven experience in assessing and treating complex MSK disorders, sports injuries, orthopaedic, and chronic conditions.
Experience with mobilisation and manipulation techniques, preferably with formal qualification.
Autonomous working experience in a private practice setting.
Prior experience in a clinical specialist role.
Strong rehabilitation and exercise provision skills.
Knowledge of clinical governance and its application in service development.
Experience in referring for and interpreting imaging.
Desirable:
Completion of MSK courses, ongoing CPD, and evidence-based practice.
Pilates or Yoga qualification.
Injection therapy qualification.
Diagnostic MSK ultrasound qualification.
Women’s Health experience.
Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (MCSP)
State Registered Physiotherapist (HCPC)
Degree in Physiotherapy
Post-registration MSc in MSK Physiotherapy or related discipline
