Job Description:

Role Dimensions:

The successful candidate will work with the Head of Human Performance and Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (APP) providing physiotherapy services, including rehabilitation of musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries to an exceptional standard.

Responsibilities include triaging, assessing, diagnosing, managing patients at the McLaren Performance Hub (MPH) Health Centre, and referring onwards where appropriate. Acting as a clinical expert in MSK issues and advising employees, MPH staff, Healthcare Professionals, and GPs.

They will be part of a multidisciplinary team including GPs, Exercise Rehabilitation Instructors, Strength and Conditioning Coaches, and Medical Administrators delivering physiotherapy and rehabilitation services to MTC Employees.

Additional duties include delivering corporate wellness education and advice. Flexible working hours are required, including occasional unsocial hours or weekends.

The role involves collaboration with the Lead Physiotherapist to implement physiotherapy and rehabilitation services at MTC.

The main components of the role are:

1. Delivery of MSK physiotherapy services at MTC
2. Delivery of focused rehabilitation classes
3. Delivery of corporate wellness strategies and service improvement initiatives
4. Delivery of IST and service development projects

Job Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a clinical specialist physiotherapist in high-performance environments (e.g., Military, NHS, preferably as an APP)
• Post-registration MSc in MSK physiotherapy or equivalent
• Experience in assessment and treatment of complex MSK disorders, sports injuries, orthopedic and chronic conditions
• Proficiency in mobilisation and manipulation techniques, with formal qualification preferred
• Autonomous practice experience in private settings
• Proven experience in a clinical specialist role
• Strong rehabilitation and exercise skills
• Knowledge of clinical governance and service development
• Experience in imaging referral and interpretation
• Continued professional development (CPD) and evidence-based practice (EBP)
• Injection therapy qualification
• Diagnostic MSK ultrasound qualification
• Women’s Health experience

Professional Qualifications:

• Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (MCSP)
• HCPC Registered Physiotherapist
• Degree in Physiotherapy
• MSc in MSK Physiotherapy or related discipline
• Injection therapy qualification
