Full Job Description

Our client is a fast-growing specialist medicaldevice company that has been developing and manufacturing innovativemedical devices for intraoperative neuromonitoring (IOM) for more than25 years and is one of the leading companies worldwide offering a widerange of IOM systems and services.

As a ClinicalSpecialist, your primary responsibility will be to monitor theintegrity of the patient's nervous system during various procedures,including neurosurgery, spinal, orthopaedic, vascular and othersurgeries.

Working closely with the surgical team,you will provide real-time neurophysiological monitoring, promptlyidentifying and communicating any changes to help guide surgicaldecisions and minimise the risk of neurological injury.

This involves placing needle electrodes on the patient,operating intraoperative neuromonitoring machines to collect andinterpret data, and maintaining continuous communication with thesurgeon throughout the procedure.

You will remainin the operating theatre for the duration of the surgery, ensuringaccurate monitoring while also managing pre- and post-operativeduties. You will receive full theoretical and practical training,including hands-on mentoring, seminars, and independent study, todevelop the expertise required for this critical role.

You will be responsible for providing services primarily in andaround London and may be required to travel nationally when necessary.

Candidate profile:

  • Experience in intraoperative neuromonitoring OR a degreein a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., neurophysiology,neuroscience, or a related field) seeking a role such as this
  • Ability to adapt and succeed in a highly skilled clinicalenvironment
  • Excellent communication abilities, and acommitment to patient safety/care
  • Ability to workcollaboratively with a multidisciplinary medical team
  • Proactive individual who works well independently and as partof the team
  • Eagerness to learn and continuously improve theirknowledge and skills

Salary isnegotiable and dependent on experience, but an excellent bonusbenefits package will also be offered.
