Job summary

Yeovil College is seeking a Clinical Skills Lecturer to inspire and shape Healthcare students. You will deliver practical learning experiences, translating sector trends into education, and work with colleagues, employers and stakeholders to ensure high-quality programmes.

With at least 3 years of professional clinical experience and current registration, you will design sequenced curricula, support learners' development, and champion inclusion across the department.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in nursing, midwifery, allied health, or paramedic work.
• Current registration with NMC/HCPC/GOsC as applicable.
• Proven ability to build and maintain networks within the health sector to support educational programmes.
• Genuine passion for teaching and motivating learners to achieve their potential.
• Experience supporting young people in developing skills and confidence.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Excellent organisational abilities and clear communication.

Youll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, practical learning experiences that make a real difference to students futures and to the wider health and care community. As part of a committed curriculum team, youll help deliver a sequenced , innovative and creative programme that prepares learners for their next step. Youll take pride in managing effective study programmes and ensuring every learner has an outstanding experience. Working closely with colleagues, employers and key stakeholders, youll contribute to
the development of new and responsive curriculum pathways aligned to workforce needs and government priorities. Youll be an expert in your field, translating emerging sector themes into education and training opportunities, and championing equality, diversity and inclusion in everything you do. What w e're l ooking f or:

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience as a Nurse, Midwife, Allied Health Professional, or Paramedic.
• Degree in Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic Science, or a BSc in a healthcare-related field.
• Current professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), or General Osteopathic Council ( GOsC ) as applicable.
• Proven experience of building and maintaining professional networks within the health sector to enhance educational programmes.
• A genuine passion for teaching and motivating learners to achieve their potential.
• Experience supporting young people in developing skills and confidence.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
