Job summary

DAVID LEWIS CENTRE is seeking a Health, Social Care & Clinical Skills Trainer to join our Learning & Development team. The role focuses on delivering practical training across the organisation, coaching colleagues, and assessing competency to ensure outstanding patient and service outcomes.

You will work across departments, promoting safe, person-centred support while continuously developing staff through induction, mandatory and specialist healthcare training.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering training, coaching or assessing within health, social care or healthcare settings.
• Able to engage learners with varied experiences, abilities and learning styles.
• Understands person-centred care and what great support looks like.
• Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for training.
• Holds a training qualification (or willing to work towards one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging health, social care and clinical skills training.
• Support induction, mandatory and specialist healthcare training.
• Complete competency assessments and observations.
• Work with managers and clinical teams to identify learning needs.
• Promote safe, effective and person-centred support.
• Help colleagues build confidence and skills for meaningful care.
• No two days will be the same.
