Job summary

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust in Redcar is seeking an experienced clinician to join our team. The role requires strong clinical knowledge, leadership and the ability to manage a busy workload with fairness.

You will work within multidisciplinary teams, demonstrate effective communication, and support service improvement while maintaining compassionate patient care. The post includes probation and requires professional registration.

Qualifications and Training

Essential criteria

• To hold a diploma/Degree awarded by a professional body.
• Registered as fit to practice by professional body, e.g. Nursing and Midwifery Council NMC
• To be an independent non-medical prescriber or be willing to work towards within the first 12 months.
• To have completed the physical assessment and disease management skills course (level 6)
• Evidence of Post Graduate clinical training/ development.
• Professional knowledge acquired supplemented by post graduate diploma specialist training, experience, short courses plus further specialist training to degree equivalent level.
• Specialist knowledge, underpinned by theory and experience.

Desirable criteria

• Long Term Conditions modules relevant to adult patients.
• Teaching and mentoring qualification

Experience

Essential criteria

• Demonstrates clinical knowledge and skills relevant to role.

Disclosure and Barring Checks (DBS)

It is the policy of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who are new to the Trust who require DBS clearance for the post they have been offered, are required to pay the cost of their DBS. The method of payment for this is via salary deduction from your first month's pay.

New Starters - Probationary Period

For any new employees commencing employment with South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, you will be subject to satisfactory completion of a 6 month probationary period. Please note that internal applications and individuals that are appointed to fixed term appointments of less than 6 months duration are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or a bank member of staff).
