University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a Clinical Scientist - Radiation Protection. The role involves contributing to ionising and non-ionising radiation protection services across the Trust and other clients, under supervision of senior staff within the Radiation Protection Group in Medical Physics.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Clinical Scientist with knowledge of ionising and non-ionising radiation protection.
• Experience with management of radioactive materials and diagnostic radiology physics.
• Role not suitable for training positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Radiation Protection Adviser in providing ionising radiation protection services to the Trust and other clients.
• Assist the Laser Protection Adviser with non-ionising radiation protection services to the Trust and other clients.
• Support Medical Physics Experts with X-ray QA surveys and optimisation projects for local and client sites.
