Job summary

Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic scientist to join the Radiotherapy Physics department. The role contributes to a specialist radiotherapy physics service, ensuring accurate calibration of radiotherapy machines and QC for equipment used in simulation, planning, verification and treatment of patients.

Qualifications

• State registration as HCPC Clinical Scientist is required.
• Experience in radiotherapy physics and dosimetry is essential.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Willingness to participate in training, meetings and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to routine clinical service provision in all areas of radiotherapy physics.
• Work within the clinical scientist group across QA, dosimetry, treatment planning and brachytherapy.
• Lead or support developmental and project work within the section.
• Operate as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering compassionate patient care.
• Participate in radiotherapy duties, dosimetry and maintenance of radiotherapy treatment machines and associated equipment.
• Support software upgrades, commissioning, QA, and morning run-up.
• Maintain records and manage development projects as assigned.
