Job description
Overview

Are you an MPE in nuclear medicine physics? We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical scientist to join our Nuclear Medicine Physics team. There are approximately 10 clinical scientists, technologists and radiopharmacy technicians in the team who are committed to prioritising patient care. In this role you will be supported by senior management.

Responsibilities
  • Provide physics support to on-site gamma camera and to another site, both offering a range of imaging procedures.
  • Directly manage non-imaging diagnostic and MRT service and participate in commissioning a brand new state-of-the-art radiopharmacy.
  • Support day-to-day provision of nuclear medicine physics services and contribute to a multidisciplinary team (including Oncology and Radiology).
  • Provide scientific support for the sentinel lymph node service for both organisations.
  • Support the nuclear medicine physics service which is part of Medical Physics and supports the Radiology department's gamma camera and the nuclear imaging department at the Trust.
  • Oversee molecular radiotherapy services (including I-131 and Ra-223) and other non-imaging diagnostic services and radiopharmacy services.
  • Work under the Head of Radiation Safety Services; refer to the job description and person specification for full details.
Qualifications and requirements
  • MPE in nuclear medicine physics (essential)
  • Strong scientific skills to ensure the safe delivery of nuclear medicine procedures
  • Opportunity to engage in leadership development; support to achieve RWA or RPA certification
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary teams and working with both Oncology and Radiology environments
  • Experience with sentinel lymph node services and molecular radiotherapy services is advantageous
