Job summary

University of Birmingham seeks a Clinical Research Fellow to lead delivery of a multicentre PSC-IBD trial within the VITALITY programme. The role involves trial setup, participant recruitment, sample collection, and maintaining eCRFs and clinical databases.

Qualifications

• MRCP / MRCS or equivalent
• Full General Medical Council Registration with a Licence to Practice
• Understanding and experience of research methods and processes
• Medical degree
• Possession of MRCP (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment of participants and obtain consent; perform study-related procedures
• Assist with study setup and approvals (ethics, MHRA) and contribute to site file and data management
• Carry out literature reviews and develop research data for higher degree
• Contribute to dissemination of research findings via publications and seminars
• Provide guidance to staff and students and support trial delivery and governance
