Job summary

The University of Birmingham is seeking a Clinical Research Fellow to support the ENERGISE-BD trial at the Midlands site in Birmingham, working with NHS services and university colleagues.

The post focuses on recruitment, assessments and follow-up of participants with bipolar depression, data collection and dissemination of findings, with scope for training and future academic opportunities. This full-time post is fixed-term for up to 24 months.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MBCHB or equivalent
• MRCPsych or substantial clinic training in psychiatry as part of a training programme which leads to membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists
• Full General Medical Council Registration with a Licence to Practice

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the ENERGISE-BD trial activities at the Birmingham site
• Recruit, assess and follow-up research participants
• Collect and manage data in line with GCP and ethical guidelines
• Disseminate research findings through seminars and publications
• Provide guidance to research staff and students where appropriate
• Contribute to enterprise, public engagement, and translation of findings
