The University of Leicester is seeking a Clinical Research Fellow in Psychiatry to join the Medical Sciences area of Global Health, Lifestyle and Metabolic Medicine. This part-time role supports an industry-sponsored multi-centre GLP-1RA trial for obesity with severe mental illness, conducted jointly with NHS organisations in Leicester.

You will supervise the trial, recruit and assess participants, manage regulatory requirements, analyse data, and contribute to publications and teaching.

Qualifications

• MB BS or equivalent required and MRCPsych desirable.
• Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
• ST3 or higher with National Training Number in Psychiatry.
• Good Clinical Practice certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Strong written and fluent spoken English; ability to plan and work independently.

Responsabilités

• Provide medical supervision for the trial and supervise participants.
• Identify, recruit, screen and review study participants.
• Deliver clinical assessments and trial interventions.
• Contribute to trial coordination and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with statisticians to analyse data and prepare outputs.
