Job summary

The post involves recruiting participants, guiding them on dietary interventions, data collection, and contributing to CPD and research dissemination. Team supervision and record-keeping are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Recruiting patients and guiding participants on dietary interventions in the ENERGISE-BD trial.
• Collecting data on participants relating to progress with nutritional interventions.
• Providing day-to-day supervision and support to ENERGISE-BD team members.
• Maintain accurate records and present progress at management meetings.
• Contribute to presentation of research findings at conferences.
• Maintain clinical skills through CPD as agreed with line manager.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as a key member of a team of researchers, alongside a Senior Dietitian, recruiting patients and guiding these patients on the two dietary interventions being tested in this study and other clinical research.
• Collecting data on participants in the study, specifically relating to progress with delivering both of the nutritional interventions.
• Providing day‑to‑day supervision and support to other members of the ENERGISE‑BD team, including a postdoctoral researcher and a clinical research fellow.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to document recruitment progress and present progress reporting data at management group meetings.
• Contribute to the presentation of research findings at national and international level conferences (if appropriate).
• Maintain clinical skills by participation in continuing professional development (for example on the flexible delivery of nutritional ketosis approaches).
