Job summary

Leaders in Care is seeking a nurse-qualified Quality, Governance & Compliance Manager to oversee quality, governance and regulatory compliance across a portfolio of care homes. You will collaborate with home managers to drive safe, person-centred care and deliver sustainable improvements.

The role requires a nursing qualification with current NMC registration, strong CQC knowledge and leadership experience in care homes. Regular travel across the North and South is expected.

Responsibilities

Location: Ideally based in North London/Hertfordshire or surrounding, with travel across homes in the North and South of England.

Salary: Circa £60,00 - 65,000.

Are you a qualified nurse with a strong background in care home quality and compliance? This is an opportunity to help improve standards across a portfolio of homes, working closely with managers to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care.

Our client is looking for a nurse-qualified Quality and Compliance Manager, ideally based in North London/Hertfordshire. Previous care home management experience would be advantageous.

The role

• Monitor quality, clinical governance and regulatory compliance across the homes.
• Carry out audits and service reviews, identifying risks and agreeing practical improvement plans.
• Support home managers to strengthen care standards and embed sustainable improvements.
• Review incidents, safeguarding concerns and clinical practice to identify learning and prevent recurrence.
• Support inspection readiness and follow through on improvement actions.
• Provide clear reporting on quality performance, risks and progress.

What you will bring

• A nursing qualification and current NMC registration.
• Strong knowledge of CQC requirements and clinical governance within care homes.
• Experience in quality assurance, compliance or care home leadership.
• Ideally, previous experience as a Home Manager.
• The ability to challenge poor practice constructively and support teams to improve.
• Willingness to travel regularly across homes in the North and South.
