Job summary
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) invites applications for a clinical pharmacist to join the Surgical and Critical Care Pharmacy Team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. This permanent role offers opportunities to develop advanced clinical practice within a teaching hospital and to work across a range of surgical services with a multidisciplinary team.
The post requires a Master’s in Pharmacy, GPhC registration, and an Independent Prescribing qualification or progress toward it, with visa
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent).
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Completion of, or close to submission of, the post-registration RCP qualification (or equivalent).
- Possess, or be working towards, an Independent Prescribing qualification.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop patient-focused clinical pharmacy services across surgical specialties.
- Rotations across surgical wards and Critical Care Unit.
- Attend daily ward rounds with multidisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to perioperative clinics and research projects.
- Provide expert medicines information and prescribing support.
