Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is inviting applications for a clinically focused pharmacist to lead and develop pharmacy services within the Surgical and Critical Care teams at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The post involves perioperative clinics, ward rounds, and involvement in teaching and research across surgical disciplines.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, support trainees, and contribute to service modernisation and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Post-registration qualification near completion (RCP or equivalent)
• Possess or working towards Independent Prescribing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in a clinical pharmacy setting
• Commitment to advanced clinical practice and multidisciplinary working

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop patient-focused clinical pharmacy services across multiple surgical specialties
• Work across surgical wards and Critical Care Unit with multidisciplinary teams
• Attend daily ward rounds and support perioperative clinics
• Provide medicines information and prescribing support to staff and trainees
• Support research, quality improvement and ongoing service development
