Overview

Circle Health Group's Chelsfield Park Hospital in Kent is part of Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare, performing more complex surgeries than any other private provider nationwide. We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Department on a bank basis, working as needed to support staffing during busy periods and staff absences.

Duties of This Role Include

• Conduct medication reviews for inpatients and outpatients, identifying interactions, contraindications, and opportunities for medicines optimisation.
• Provide tailored advice to patients on treatment plans, including side effects, compliance, and lifestyle considerations.
• Support safe prescribing through reconciliation, clinical screening, and dose adjustment.
• Review and authorise prescriptions in line with clinical guidelines, formulary restrictions, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote safe and cost-effective use of medicines by supporting adherence to policies.
• Collaborate with procurement, stock control, and pharmacy technicians to ensure medicine availability and supply continuity.
• Monitor and report medication incidents, near misses, and adverse drug reactions per hospital protocols and MHRA guidance.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

• A degree in Pharmacy (MPharm, BSc, or BPharm).
• GPhC registration as a Pharmacist.
• Previous experience in a clinical hospital pharmacy role.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutics, clinical guidelines, and pharmaceutical legislation.
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Confidence using electronic prescribing and medication administration systems (e.g., EPMA).
