Job summary

Compass Bloom MHST seeks a Clinical Operations Manager to lead clinical quality, supervision and governance within the Central & West Lancashire service. You will shape a values‑led, evidence‑based team delivering early mental health support to children, young people and families, working with a local leadership group and partners.

You will mentor practitioners, manage risk, drive service development and audits, and contribute to performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Core professional qualification in mental health (nursing, social work or psychology).
• Postgraduate CBT training or willingness to complete it.
• At least three years in community services for children/young people.
• Senior level experience in emotional wellbeing or mental health.
• Experience providing clinical supervision and leadership within a team.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience.
• Excellent communication, risk management and organisational skills.
• Values-driven approach to building relationships across teams and agencies.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle or arrangements if you cannot drive.

About The Role

As Clinical Operations Manager, in our Central & West Lancashire service you will be part of a passionate local leadership team delivering early mental health support to children, young people and families through our Mental Health Support Team (MHST). You will help shape and drive a service that is values led, evidence based and focused on outcomes that matter. Working closely with the Service Manager, you will lead on clinical quality, supervision and governance, ensuring that everything we deliver is safe, consistent and impactful. You will support the service to grow and evolve, mentoring practitioners, managing risk and holding high standards across the board.

You will be a visible, trusted figure within your team and with our partners. You will provide clinical leadership, support whole school approaches and play a key role in developing our workforce, including trainees and supervisors. You will also contribute to audits, performance reviews and service development, acting as a catalyst for positive change.

About You

You will need:
