This post will support the continuing development of excellence in nursing practice at Red Kite View inpatient unit, leading the delivery of high-quality inpatient care.
The post holder will also have the responsibility of providing a significant level of clinical practice and practice development. They will predominately focus on their area of expertise but will be expected to have an excellent working knowledge and understanding of all aspects of young people and the mental health issues they present with.
They will work closely with the Matron and Practice Development Nurse, the Ward Managers and the Professional Lead for Nursing to identify training and development needs for staff, to ensure that patients receive high quality, safe and effective care within the service and to embed the 6Cs in every aspect of their professional practice.
The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country.
