Job summary

William James Recruitment is representing a Birmingham firm seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to manage a busy caseload and support Partners on high-value matters. The role offers autonomy, development and exposure to challenging cases in a growing team.

The ideal candidate will have Clinical Negligence experience, knowledge of Pre-Action Protocol and CPR, and the ability to work to KPIs. Salary up to £75,000 plus benefits and bonus, with 27 days holidays and enhanced pension.

Qualifications

• Experience handling Clinical Negligence claims.
• Strong knowledge of Pre-Action Protocol and CPR.
• Ability to work to KPIs and targets.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues (desirable).
• Excellent organisation and client care skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of Clinical Negligence claims.
• Support Partners on complex pre-litigation and litigated matters.
• Investigate liability and assess medical evidence.
• Instruct medical experts and gather key reports.
• Draft Letters of Claim and other legal documentation.
• Assess quantum and manage settlement strategy.
• Work in line with CPR and Clinical Negligence Pre-Action Protocol.
• Deliver strong client care throughout all stages of the claim.
