Oculus Legal Group is seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Fee Earner to join the Oldham team with a strong caseload and governing responsibility from instruction through to settlement or trial.

You will manage 40–50 quality matters, handle complex claim files, and contribute to a supportive, collaborative department. Hybrid pattern offers two days from home and a structured progression path.

• Experience independently managing a Clinical Negligence caseload.
• Able to run matters from inception through to conclusion.
• Strong client care and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inherit an established caseload of approximately 40–50 Clinical Negligence matters from instruction to settlement or trial.

Clinical Negligence Solicitor/Fee Earner

Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE

Working pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Hybrid: 2 days from home, 3 days in office

We are working with a well-established regional law firm in Oldham that is looking to strengthen its established Clinical Negligence team with an experienced Fee Earner.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to handle quality claimant Clinical Negligence work within an experienced, close-knit team, with genuine opportunities for progression.

The Role

You will inherit an established caseload of approximately 40-50 Clinical Negligence matters, managing files from initial instruction through to settlement or trial.

The caseload includes:

• Misdiagnosis and delayed diagnosis
• Surgical and hospital negligence
• Birth and spinal injury claims
• Cancer and GP negligence
• Fatal medical negligence and care home claims

You will also assist with new enquiries through the department's intake rota.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience independently managing a Clinical Negligence caseload
• Be confident running matters from inception through to conclusion
• Have strong client care and communication skills
• Be able to work effectively as part of an established team
